Your PDFs and progress

Import, copy, back up or share a pattern only when you own it or have permission for that use. Importing successfully does not grant copyright, redistribution or commercial-use rights. A portable backup embeds the PDF as well as your project notes and progress; do not distribute a purchased pattern through a backup without permission. The app does not claim ownership of your material.

Craft Pattern displays your PDF and tracks progress. It does not validate a pattern's instructions, sizing, materials or finished item's safety. The original practice PDF demonstrates controls; it is not a tested craft pattern. Follow the relevant pattern and equipment instructions and check your work. The reading guide and counters are aids, not a guarantee that no step was missed.

Keep the original PDF and independent backups. The private app library is excluded from automatic backup. Exported .craftbackup files are not encrypted; choose a private destination and control who can access it. Restore adds new copies; it does not replace originals. A checksum detects altered data but does not establish who authored a backup. Read the privacy/support screens for deletion and recovery limits.
