Rehearsal: Cue & Record terms and usage notice
Steelyard Ventures LLC · October 13, 2026 · private beta 0.1.0
License and this notice
For App Store distribution, Apple’s standard app EULA is the licensing baseline where no custom EULA is supplied. Apple’s TestFlight terms govern beta participation. This app-specific notice explains features and precautions; it is not a new custom contract or a replacement for those terms.
Your scripts and recordings
Rehearsal is a local practice and recording tool. Use scripts, music, images and other material you own or have permission to use. Obtain permissions required to record people and share their image, voice or other private information; respect confidentiality and applicable recording laws. Installing the app or receiving device camera permission does not grant those rights. You decide what you record and where you export it. The app provides no hosted public feed or remote content review.
Auto pace advances prompts at a chosen speed; it does not listen to your voice, transcribe speech or assess performance. A/B comparison switches a single player between takes, rather than playing two simultaneously. There is no remote AI service or verified coaching result.
Capture, interruption and recovery
Scripts and prompt practice work without camera access. Camera and microphone capture depend on the permissions, hardware and operating system; silent recording is available when microphone permission is off. Capture requires supported physical hardware and is unavailable in Simulator. Device-specific/fold behavior still needs physical review. Recordings are limited to fifteen minutes.
Backgrounding or a capture interruption ends a take instead of secretly resuming it. A usable partial take can be marked Interrupted; an unfinished or unusable file is not a completed export. Wait for saving and replay the result before using it as an important recording. This beta does not promise uninterrupted or lock-screen capture and should not be your sole recorder for an unrepeatable event.
Local storage and export
Scripts, take labels, notes, keeper choices and media stay in the private library unless you explicitly share a selected video. The library is excluded from automatic device backup and has no whole-library export or cloud restore. Keep separate script text and export wanted videos; check exported copies open before removing originals or replacing the app. App removal, beta replacement, expiry or storage failure can remove or make local data unavailable. Steelyard has no remote copy from which to restore your library.
Export uses the system share sheet for the video you choose; it does not attach script text or notes. Your chosen destination handles that copy under its own policies. Deleting a take/script locally does not remove exports elsewhere. Cleanup errors can leave a private file for recovery or explicit deletion; local deletion is not a secure-erasure guarantee.
Optional services
The selected Consent Test beta offers Google demonstration banners on Scripts/library only, outside the editor, rehearsal, capture, playback, Takes and export. Production serving is off. Core features remain free without ads, regional advertising consent or Apple tracking authorization. The session-only 18+ advertising choice is self-confirmation, not a new minimum-age license restriction or proof of child-privacy compliance. No ad interaction is required. Privacy controls do not erase service records already processed; read Privacy for full handling.
This beta has no purchase, subscription or paid-feature flow. Future commercial changes must be disclosed for the version that offers them; earlier unlock ideas are not a charge or entitlement.
Feedback and help
TestFlight automatically provides crash and usage data to Apple and Steelyard. Written or visual feedback is optional; avoid confidential scripts, recordings or identifying screenshots. Email help@steelyardventures.com with the app/build and steps that failed; you do not need to send content for an initial report. This notice sets no guaranteed response time, retention timer, feature delivery date, recording reliability certification or legal clearance. Nothing here replaces protections that applicable law gives you.
