Rehearsal: Cue & Record support

Write and rehearse

Open Scripts, choose New script, add a title and text, then save. Adjust text size, pace and horizontal mirroring in the editor. In Rehearse, select a script and use Previous, Next, Restart or Auto pace. Auto pace uses a fixed speed; it does not listen to your voice.

Hide prompt hides the words while controls remain available. You can show the prompt again when needed.

Record and review

On supported physical hardware, choose Start camera and grant camera access. Microphone access includes sound. If it is off, choose Record without sound or Open Settings. Select a nonempty saved script, choose Record take, then Stop recording. Wait for the take to finish saving.

In Takes, replay a completed take, rename it, add notes or select it as the keeper. Choose two playable takes from the same script to compare. A/B switches one video player and starts the selected take from the beginning; it does not play two videos simultaneously.

Takes are limited to fifteen minutes. Camera capture is unavailable in Simulator; script and prompt controls still work there.

Keep a copy

Export video shares the selected movie through the system share sheet without your script or notes. Check that the exported copy opens before deleting the original.

The local library is excluded from automatic device backup. There is no cloud restore or whole-library export. Keep a separate copy of important script text. Removing the app can remove local scripts, notes and recordings.

Interrupted takes

Backgrounding or a camera interruption stops a take instead of silently resuming it. A usable partial take may be labelled Interrupted. After relaunch, choose Check unfinished take if shown. An unusable file remains private for recovery or explicit deletion; it is not offered as a completed video.

If a save or deletion fails, keep the app installed, retain wanted exports and note the error. Support cannot reconstruct your local library from a server.

Permissions and deletion

Change Camera and Microphone access in iOS Settings. Scripts remain available when camera access is denied. Delete a take or script after confirmation; deleting a script also removes its associated takes. Local deletion does not remove exports sent elsewhere.

Optional advertising

The ordinary app has no advertising SDK. The Ads Review version tests Google consent and demonstration banners on Scripts/library. Production banner serving remains off. It asks for session-only 18+ self-confirmation, applicable regional permissions, and Apple tracking authorization. No birth date is requested. Under 18, refusal, unknown permission state or errors leave the app free and ad-free; core features work without ads.

On Scripts, open Ad privacy & choices to keep ads off or manage required Google Ad privacy options. You can change Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings. Required Google privacy options remain available after Apple tracking denial. Google consent-service processing can occur before a later tracking refusal. Read [Privacy](PRIVACY-POLICY.md) for the exact data and choice flow. This beta uses demonstration banners and earns no advertising revenue. No ad interaction is needed to test or use the app.

Contact

Email [help@steelyardventures.com](mailto:help@steelyardventures.com) with “Rehearsal” in the subject. Include the app version, device model, iOS version, steps you tried and any error message. You do not need to send a script or video for an initial report. Do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents.

For a TestFlight beta, you can also submit feedback through TestFlight. Avoid confidential content in screenshots or comments. When a beta expires, install a newer build if one is available in TestFlight.

Beta precautions

Beta builds can expire, fail or lose data, including during replacement with another build. Do not use this beta as the only copy of important information. TestFlight automatically provides crash and usage data to Apple and Steelyard; written or visual feedback is optional. No ad interaction or tracking permission is needed to use or review core features.
